One of the primary reasons I started a blog was to communicate more with the Flash community and I’ve pretty much limited posts to just that, Flash. Well, today I was very pleased to get a link from my Mom to the local newspaper where they live in upstate NY and nothing makes your day like seeing a family member in such a positive story.

I’m the oldest of 4 and the youngest, Matt, is still back in upstate NY. I love Boston, but I do feel like I miss out on a lot of things back home. Matt was born with severe hearing loss and has also had a whole host of health related issues growing up, all mainly due to the fact that he was born a few months premature. Despite all of this he’s one of the most positive people I know and a great person to be around.

He’s also a huge sports fan, specifically of the Mets and Giants, so about a year ago I started up a site for him and encouraged him to start writing. He says that he’d like to eventually become a sports writer so hopefully when he wins some sports writer award down the road he’ll give a shout out to his big brother.
